The professors and students of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University conducted an off-site training session at the Goturdepe oil and gas field

At the Balkanabat branch of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, extensive work is being carried out to familiarize professors and students with the implementation of new technologies in the oil and gas industry, as well as with the scientific achievements and innovative technologies of the modern oil and gas sector. In particular, students’ theoretical knowledge is integrated with practical experience in production. Today, university students and professors conducted an off-site training session at the Goturdepe oil and gas field.

Goturdepe is an oil and gas field located within the Balkan Province of Turkmenistan, in the northern part of the West Turkmen Depression, between the Barsagelmez and Cheleken fields.

Students observed the major overhaul of well No. 1425, which is part of the repair complex carried out using equipment from the People’s Republic of China, and carefully studied the process. The main goal of the off-site training session is to consolidate the students’ theoretical knowledge under real production conditions.

In addition, at the Goturdepe field, students inspected the oil collection facility and became closely acquainted with the equipment used for loss-free oil collection.

They also studied the operation of well No. 415, which, using the gas-lift method, produces 38 tons of oil products per day.

In the western region, oil and gas fields carry out extraction of oil, natural and associated gas, and gas condensate, as well as exploration and survey work, drilling of production wells, transportation of raw materials via pipelines, construction of related facilities, and major and underground maintenance of wells—all performed with high labor efficiency.

As is well known, large-scale extraction of natural hydrocarbons allows the country to meet its internal needs while simultaneously enhancing the state’s capacity to export energy resources to global markets.

The efficient development of the country’s hydrocarbon resources, rational use of underground wealth, and the supply of products to foreign consumers through diversification ensure the stable development of the sector. Every achievement in this area is clear evidence of the growing economic strength of our country.
