THE ATLAS OF FUTURE PROFESSIONS HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

Today, special attention is being paid worldwide to developing vocational education in line with modern requirements. This approach has a positive impact on a country’s socio-economic development, contributes to the training of competitive specialists, and supports the formation of a highly qualified workforce. In Turkmenistan, the development of the education system on an innovative basis is regarded as one of the strategically important directions of state policy.

The current stage of the country’s development is marked by the active digitalization of the economy and ongoing transformations in the labour market. Under these conditions, it is especially important to adapt the training of specialists to new realities in a timely manner, take into account the needs of economic sectors, and equip future professionals with the skills demanded in the 21st century. The ability to respond quickly to scientific and technological changes is becoming one of the key factors of workforce competitiveness.

In this context, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has prepared and published the guide “The Atlas of Future Professions,” issued by the Turkmen State Publishing Service. The publication was developed in accordance with the Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052, approved by Resolution No. 1570 of the President of Turkmenistan on October 17, 2025. The Atlas is intended to serve as a guide to the most promising sectors and professions in the short and medium term and to help readers understand which new technologies, products, and management practices will shape the labour market of the future.
