A delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) held talks with the leadership of the University of Westminster during a visit to London. The main outcome of the meeting was the discussion of concrete steps to establish dual degree programs in “2+2” and “1+1” formats.
The rectors of the British university, Andrew Linn and Dibes Anand, confirmed their readiness to expand the partnership. Both sides agreed to launch exchange programs, short-term summer schools, and joint online courses in key fields. Special attention was given to sharing experience in teaching academic English and implementing new educational methodologies.
A significant event during the visit was the international conference at the University of Westminster dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence. IUHD representatives presented reports to British colleagues and students on the country’s foreign policy based on the principles of permanent neutrality, as well as Turkmenistan’s achievements in the field of education.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to prepare official agreements through diplomatic channels. This partnership will become an important step in integrating Turkmen higher education into the global academic space.
