In Turkmenistan, from March 11 to 14, the final state stage of the annual subject Olympiads “Golden Talents of the Golden Age,” held among the country’s school students, was conducted. This year, more than 1,400 students from grades 11–12 participated in the competition.
The final state stage of the subject Olympiads was held at higher education institutions located in Ashgabat and other regions. Chemistry and biology competitions were organized at Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan; informatics, Russian, and English language competitions were held at International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; astronomy competitions took place at Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly. The Turkmen language and literature Olympiads were conducted at Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz, geography at Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi in Turkmenabat, and mathematics and physics at State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan in Mary.
The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts. Excursions were also organized for them around the universities where the competitions were held, as well as to scenic spots in the cities that hosted the participants.
The “Golden Talents of the Golden Age” competition helps to identify and support talented youth.
