On December 1, 2024, a Turkmen delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, took part in the fifth meeting of foreign ministers in the “Central Asia – China” format held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China.

The participants highlighted the important role of cooperation within the “CA – China” framework in enhancing joint efforts aimed at strengthening constructive partnerships in the common interests of the member states.

During the discussions in the closed session, the foreign ministers of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and China reviewed priority areas of cooperation between Central Asian states and China and outlined key directions for future partnerships.

An exchange of views took place on various international issues concerning the regional and global agenda.
