On December 5, 2024, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, A. Gurbanov, held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, B. Usmanov, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as regional and international agendas, were discussed.
The diplomats confirmed that regular meetings and negotiations at high and top levels play a key role in strengthening the partnership.
It was noted that trade and economic cooperation between the two countries is consistently developing. The significant potential for bilateral business contacts was emphasized. Additionally, the diplomats acknowledged the effective nature of direct ties between the regions of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The interlocutors highlighted that the cultural-humanitarian direction serves as a key factor in accelerating the development of intergovernmental relations.
