On December 16, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council; Csaba Leyko, President for Strategic Cooperation in Central Asia of John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Сo.KG; and Nikolai Yurchenko, Head of Westport Trading Europe, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Turkmen-American Business Forum.

Expressing their sincere gratitude to the head of state for the time given, the businessmen reaffirmed the U.S. business community's commitment to further developing fruitful relations with Turkmenistan, which possesses significant economic potential.

Warmly welcoming the guests, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the Turkmen-American Business Forum would contribute to the activation and strengthening of investment cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States of America. He also wished success for the upcoming event.

Noting that the visit provides an opportunity for U.S. partners to exchange views with their Turkmen colleagues on promising areas of cooperation, the head of state emphasized that the forthcoming negotiations would give new impetus to the expansion of mutually beneficial bilateral relations. In this context, the contributions of U.S. companies to unlocking the economic potential of both countries were highlighted.

It was noted that for many years, major companies such as Boeing, General Electric, John Deere, Case New Holland, Nicklaus Companies, and Westport Trading Europe Limited have implemented significant projects in Turkmenistan. In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov acknowledged the important role played by the successfully operating Turkmen-American Business Council in intensifying productive cooperation.

Over the years, this Council has evolved into an effective instrument for establishing, developing, and strengthening ties between the economic structures of the two countries.

During the meeting, the most promising areas of cooperation were identified, including the oil and gas industry, electric power, renewable energy, transportation and communications, agriculture, and high technologies.

The head of state reaffirmed Turkmenistan's interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with U.S. companies and expressed readiness to consider their specific proposals.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and representatives of U.S. business circles exchanged best wishes and expressed confidence in the further dynamic development of effective long-term partnerships.
