Turkmenistan and India discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere

On January 24, 2025, consultations on consular issues were held in the building of the MFA of Turkmenistan between the foreign policy agencies of Turkmenistan and the Republic of India at the level of heads of corresponding departments.
In accordance with the agenda of the consultations, current issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere were discussed. Proposals for the exchange of experience between the consular services of Turkmenistan and India, as well as the implementation of joint projects and initiatives in this area were considered.
An exchange of views took place on issues of developing cooperation between the consular services of the two countries. In this regard, the parties noted the importance of regularly holding bilateral consultations on consular issues between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries to further intensify cooperation and study best practices.
Particular attention was paid to intensifying work to improve and update the legal framework.
The parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen their partnership across a full range of issues.
