Startup Competition Winner

In April 2026, within the framework of the project “For the Green Development of Turkmenistan: European Union (EU) – Policy Dialogue and Climate Action for 2024–2029,” implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and funded by the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the European Union, and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, a startup competition titled “Startups in the Field of Renewable Energy” was held. In the category “Solar and Wind Energy — solar panels, solar collectors, wind turbines, and other innovative solutions,” Kakamyrat Yalkabov, a trainee lecturer of the Department of Geography and Teaching Methodology at the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, won first place and earned the opportunity for an educational visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
