Under the leadership of our esteemed President, in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of a Powerful State, large-scale efforts are being carried out to improve the national education system and to train highly qualified and technologically competent youth. Within these objectives, the “Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052” and the action plan for its implementation for 2026–2030 have been adopted, aimed at expanding international cooperation in higher education, introducing advanced global experience, and accelerating scientific and technological development.
At the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, engineers with higher education, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degree specialists, are trained for Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry, as well as for other ministries and sectoral governing bodies.
The strategic policy for the development of our country’s fuel and energy complex is currently being continued under the leadership of the esteemed President. Large-scale efforts are being carried out to modernize the industry, introduce advanced technologies, expand gas extraction and processing capabilities, and diversify export routes.
On April 16, 2026, in Ashgabat, as part of the 7th meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee for Cooperation, a ceremonial signing of the Agreement on the establishment of a joint Turkmen-Chinese Energy Training Center took place between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of China under the Ministry of Education of the PRC, and the China University of Petroleum. This Agreement opens up broad opportunities not only in the field of education but also in scientific and technological development, and will serve as an important step in training highly qualified specialists for Turkmenistan’s oil, gas, and energy sectors.
In the future, within the framework of the Turkmen-Chinese Energy Training Center, it is planned to train bachelor’s degree students under an international “dual degree” educational program.
Expressing sincere gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating broad opportunities for the development of international cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere of our country, we wish them strong health, long life, and further success in their activities for the benefit of the people and the state, which are of global significance.
