On April 18, 2026, a gratitude conference titled “Long Live Turkmen-Chinese Friendship” was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. The event was attended by the rector of the university, faculty members, and students, who delivered meaningful presentations. During the conference, speeches were presented on several areas of strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China, namely: the 20th anniversary of strategic cooperation in the gas sector, the grand opening of the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, the signing of the Agreement on the establishment of the Turkmen-Chinese Energy Training Center, as well as the ceremony marking the launch of the fourth phase of development of the Galkynysh gas field.
On April 16, 2026, in Ashgabat, significant results were achieved during the international scientific and practical conference “Turkmenistan — People’s Republic of China: 20 Years of Strategic Cooperation in the Gas Sector.” In particular, the agreement concluded between the state concern “Turkmengaz” and China’s “CNPC Amudarya Petroleum Company Ltd.” became clear evidence that cooperation has reached a new level.Special gratitude was expressed to all specialists working on the implementation of this project.
Also, on April 16, 2026, the opening ceremony of the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan was held on the premises of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, marking a new chapter in educational and scientific cooperation between the two countries. Deep gratitude was expressed to all parties actively involved in the implementation of this important initiative, including the delegation of the People’s Republic of China. Special note was made of the broad opportunities created for educating the younger generation at this center, equipped with modern facilities, as well as the contribution of Chinese specialists to the exchange of experience. The opening of the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan is a clear testament to the successful continuation of Turkmen-Chinese cooperation.
Particular emphasis is placed on the significance of the Memorandum signed in 2023 to promote international cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere, as well as the projects implemented within its framework. The Agreement on the establishment of the Turkmen-Chinese Energy Training Center, signed on April 16, 2026, also demonstrates the effective development of cooperation in this area. Words of gratitude were expressed to all partners who supported these important initiatives.
The ceremony marking the launch of the fourth phase of development of the Galkynysh gas field, held on April 17, 2026, once again confirmed the strategic importance of interstate cooperation. Sincere gratitude was expressed to all specialists and managers working on the successful implementation of this large-scale project.
Overall, all the events held demonstrate that the relations of friendship and brotherhood, mutual respect, and trust between Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China have a solid foundation.In this regard, deep gratitude was expressed to all parties contributing to the further successful development of this cooperation.
Then, a performance by the university’s student music and dance ensemble “Gara altyn” took place, featuring songs praising our Motherland, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar. At the conclusion of the gratitude conference, sincere appreciation was expressed to Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating broad opportunities for the development of international cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere of our country. They were wished strong health, long life, and continued success in their activities for the benefit of the people and the state, of global significance.
