A delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Gulshat Yusupova, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, paid a working visit to Moscow on April 21–22, 2026. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the visit, Gulshat Yusupova met with Anatoliy Torkunov, Rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO), and Andrey Suslov, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations. During the talks, the prospects for scientific and educational cooperation between the two institutions were discussed.
The heads of the universities considered opportunities for regular student and faculty exchanges, the development of joint educational programs in the fields of international relations and energy diplomacy, as well as the implementation of initiatives aimed at involving students in international and public diplomacy activities.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding inter-university cooperation and forming a collaborative agenda that integrates the educational, research, and international potential of the institutions.
