“BIOLOGY” TEXTBOOK PUBLISHED FOR GRADE 7 SPECIALIZED SCHOOLS

A new textbook titled “Biology (Plants, Bacteria, Fungi, and Lichens)” has been published in Turkmenistan for Grade 7 students of specialized schools with advanced studies in natural sciences. The textbook was authored by M.Akiyeva, P.Kepbanov, B.Annadurdyyeva, O.Rejepaliyeva, and Y.Atajanov and released by the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan in 2026.
The publication consists of eight thematic chapters and 88 lessons covering key biological processes in plants, the diversity of flowering plants, agricultural crops, useful plants of Turkmenistan, the development of plant life on Earth, as well as bacteria, fungi, and lichens. Each topic includes review questions and practical assignments.
The textbook is aimed at deepening students’ knowledge of biology, ecology, and environmental protection. It will help learners better understand the role of plants in nature, their development processes, and the impact of environmental factors and human activities on plant life.
