Children’s dance ensemble of the «Jahan» Creativity Center under the administration of the city of Ashgabat successfully performed at the 48th International Children’s Festival held on April 19–24 in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye. This was reported by the newspaper Türkmenistan.
According to the report, children’s groups from 27 countries participated in the festival organized by the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).
Held annually in Republic of Türkiye, the festival this year brought together leading children’s creative ensembles from Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Serbia, Albania, Estonia, Macedonia, Ukraine, Moldova, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (Europe), as well as from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Palestine (Asia), Venezuela (North America), and Morocco, Kenya, and Ghana (Africa).
The festival’s gala concert was attended by the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and other officials of the brotherly country, which further enhanced the significance of the event.
The talented children of the «Jahan» Creativity Center dance ensemble, representing our Homeland at the international festival, left unforgettable impressions on participants with their inspired performance. Their vibrant numbers clearly demonstrated that Turkmenistan has created all the necessary conditions for the comprehensive and harmonious development of children, the раскрытие their abilities and talents, including in the sphere of culture and the arts. The young performers who took to the grand stage skillfully presented dance compositions with national flavor rooted in the noble traditions of the Turkmen people. The performances of our country’s children’s ensemble in national costumes were accompanied by prolonged applause.
The final joint performance of all creative groups participating in the international festival sounded as a call for united efforts for the bright future of humanity and the well-being of children.
As part of the festival’s cultural program, the children’s ensemble of our country visited historical landmarks in Ankara, including the mausoleum of the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
«During the general rehearsal of the festival’s closing event, which brought together children from 27 countries on one stage, when the host asked, «Which country’s performance was the best?», the answer «Turkmenistan» was heard with particular pride. This became a source of special pride for us and evidence that our national culture and art can captivate audiences anywhere in the world. Colleagues representing the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of Morocco respectfully invited the children’s dance ensemble of the «Jahan» Creativity Center to participate in festivals to be held in their countries», noted Magtymguly Annagylyjov, a specialist of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, in an interview with the newspaper Türkmenistan.
