The S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University organized the final round of the subject Olympiad in mathematics and physics among the country's school students. This educational competition was dedicated to the glorious 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence and the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses». The event was carried out within the framework of the strategy to develop natural and exact sciences and improve the digital education system. This was reported on the university's official website.
The Olympiad was held in three stages as an individual competition among 12th-grade students. Following the results of the first round, which began in early April at the district and city levels, the best-performing students qualified for the second stage. On April 15, during the second round organized via live video link, talented students from all regions of the country, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, demonstrated their knowledge through the digital system.
The final stage of the competition took place in the university library. Participants were presented with 7 complex problems in mathematics and physics, with 180 minutes allotted for their solution. Based on the total points earned, the jury declared the students with the highest results as the winners.
The winners of the Olympiad were ceremoniously awarded diplomas and valuable commemorative gifts by the organizers. This subject competition played a significant role in increasing youth interest in science and in their future career choices.
