The S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University hosted a scientific-practical conference titled "Our Heavenly Steeds are the Treasure of Our People and National Heritage," dedicated to the National Day of the Turkmen Horse. The event was attended by professors, teachers, postgraduate students, specialists, and students of the university. This was reported on the official website of the higher education institution.
Prior to the conference, participants visited an exhibition showcasing the beauty of Akhal-Teke horses, circus arts, and the development of equestrian sports. Values of the horse-breeding industry, new publications on the art of training (seýisçilik), and educational literature were presented to the public.
In the speeches of the participants, a special place was given to the achievements of the horse-breeding industry during the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State. Based on the works of Hero-Arkadag dedicated to horses, the conference featured detailed discussions on the historical significance of Akhal-Teke steeds, their image in art, and the scientific foundations of horse training.
During the scientific meeting, the rich experience of master trainer Aba Annayev and world-class methods of horse care and treatment were discussed. The importance of including "The Akhal-Teke horse-breeding art and traditions of horse decoration" in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity was also emphasized.
The event continued across several sessions, covering the role of Arkadag city as a center for horse breeding, the activities of the International Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association, and the development of agricultural science. Participants congratulated everyone on the holiday and expressed gratitude to the country's leadership for the opportunities provided to develop the art of horse breeding.
