From April 20 to 25, Secondary School No. 55 in Ashgabat hosted a Library Week titled “Independence and Neutrality – Two Wings of Our Motherland,” dedicated to the theme of the year and Turkmenistan’s national pride — Akhal-Teke horses. The event aimed to promote reading, foster patriotism among students, and strengthen interest in national heritage.
During the week, students of grades 11–12 recited poems about the Motherland and presented literary works dedicated to the famous Turkmen horses. Participants also shared proverbs and sayings related to horses, education, and life. The program featured musical performances, including a violin piece by a sixth-grade student and a percussion performance by a seventh-grade student.
Young writers and artists of the school also actively participated by presenting original stories, poems, and drawings dedicated to the Motherland and Akhal-Teke horses. The event concluded with a collective performance of the song “Turkmenistan,” bringing together all participants in a festive atmosphere.
