On May 8, 2026, a solemn event dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at Secondary School No. 15 in Ashgabat

The festive concert brought together students, teachers, parents and distinguished guests in an atmosphere of deep respect for the heroic feat of the people, remembrance of those who fell, and gratitude to the victorious generation.

The event was marked by its profound spiritual meaning and its important role in strengthening patriotic education among young people and preserving historical memory.

Among the guests of honour were Hero of Turkmenistan Chinar Tajievna Rustamova, representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Ashgabat city administration, as well as cultural figures. Their participation gave special significance to the event and highlighted the importance of educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and respect for history.

Opening the ceremony, the presenters emphasized that the memory of the courage of frontline soldiers and the selfless labour of those who worked on the home front remains an integral part of the spiritual heritage of the people. It was also noted that in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, under the wise leadership of the Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and with the great contribution of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, all necessary conditions are being created for the peaceful, happy and creative life of the younger generation.

The concert programme was distinguished by its emotional depth and variety of creative performances. Students presented patriotic songs, choral compositions, poems of the war years, literary and musical performances, and dance numbers. Scenes devoted to the first days of the war, letters from the front and the destinies of young people whose dreams were interrupted by the tragic events of those years made a particularly strong impression on the audience.

The poem “Cranes” by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave the event special spiritual depth and ideological significance. The students also performed well-known works such as “Wait for Me”, “The Dugout”, “Katyusha”, “Smuglyanka” and “Victory Day”. The dance compositions “Cranes” and “A World Without War” became highlights of the concert, embodying bright memory, sorrow and faith in a peaceful future.

Students of grades 5–12 demonstrated a high level of preparation, artistry and sincere involvement in the theme of the event. At the conclusion of the ceremony, it was emphasized that the memory of the Great Patriotic War must live in the hearts of every generation, while the feat of veterans will forever remain a symbol of courage, resilience and boundless love for the Motherland.
