AN ECOLOGICAL EVENT WAS HELD FOR TEENAGERS

An ecological event was organized for teenage school students at Specialized Secondary School No. 116 in Ashgabat by Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan with the aim of further improving the ecological knowledge, environmental awareness, and ecological culture of the younger generation — the future of our country. During the event, students of the Ecology and Nature Management program at Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan provided schoolchildren with extensive information through various games, poems, and songs. The topics included the flora and fauna of our country, their living characteristics, the importance of protecting and restoring them, efficient use of water resources, the causes of climate change and ways to prevent it, as well as waste management issues. In addition, practical skills were taught to the students through master classes on caring for indoor plants and pets, as well as reusing plastic waste for household purposes. It should also be noted that students of Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan actively and regularly participate in various national and international events and competitions dedicated to environmental issues.

Furthermore, Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan holds leading positions in the “UI GreenMetric” ranking, which evaluates the environmental activities, environmental protection efforts, and sustainable use of natural resources carried out by leading higher education institutions around the world.
