Fruitful meetings between the leadership of the International University for the Humanities and Development and their Japanese colleagues

A meeting between the management of the International University for the Humanities and Development and representatives of Asia SEED (Organization for Education, Science and Economic Development in Asia) was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tokyo. Hideomi Koinuma, President of the Turkmenistan-Japan Association for Scientific and Technological Cooperation, also participated in the talks.

Opening the meeting, N.Shihlyev, Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development, presented the key stages of the university’s development and detailed priority areas of its educational, scientific, and international activities. During the discussions, representatives of Asia SEED, known for its work supporting higher education, developing interdisciplinary research, and promoting sustainable development principles, outlined key prospects for bilateral cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to developing joint educational programs, expanding research collaboration, supporting interdisciplinary initiatives, and implementing modern approaches to the green economy and sustainable development. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening academic and scientific ties, which created a solid foundation for a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.

On the same day, a delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development met with representatives of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). During the talks, prospects for joint projects in science, education, and innovative development were discussed. The parties discussed opportunities for expanding academic exchange, student professional training, and the implementation of modern educational technologies.

JICA representatives proposed offering students from the International University for the Humanities and Development the opportunity to take a certified course in artificial intelligence free of charge. This initiative is seen as an important step toward enhancing students’ competencies in digital technologies and training highly qualified personnel who meet modern requirements of global scientific and technological development.

The results of the meetings confirmed the high potential of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in education and science, and opened up new prospects for the implementation of joint projects aimed at strengthening international academic cooperation and developing human capital.
