A delegation from Turkmenistan held a series of meetings in Japan on education and innovation

During the working visit to Japan, a delegation from the International University for the Humanities and Development held a series of meetings aimed at developing international cooperation in education, science, and modern educational technologies.

In particular, a meeting was held with the Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan, Yano Kazuhiko. The meeting was also attended by the Turkmen Ambassador to Japan, Atadurdy Bayramov, and the Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development, Nurmuhammet Shihlyev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in education and science, academic exchange, and strengthening the partnership between higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and Japan. Particular attention was paid to developing humanitarian ties and introducing modern approaches to the educational process.

The Vice-Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development also met with the management of the Japanese company SPRIX. This organization is one of Japan’s leading educational companies, operating in the fields of educational technology, digital solutions, and training. Founded in 1997, the company today encompasses a wide range of educational services, from training centers and online learning to the development of digital platforms, testing systems, and assessment programs.

SPRIX actively implements modern EdTech solutions, including CBT (Computer Based Testing) systems, platforms for digital testing and student performance analysis, as well as programs for developing programming skills and digital competencies. The company’s TOFAS system is used in over 50 countries worldwide and is focused on assessing basic academic knowledge according to international standards.

The company also develops educational materials, integrates AI solutions into the educational process, trains teachers, and creates modern educational platforms. In Japan, SPRIX is known as one of the largest operators of educational centers and developers of innovative curriculum. Taking into account the company's international experience and technological capabilities, the agreements reached open up prospects for the implementation of modern assessment mechanisms, the improvement of curricula, and the professional development of faculty at the International University for the Humanities and Development in line with international educational standards.

Prospects for cooperation in the digitalization of education, the implementation of innovative educational solutions, and the improvement of the educational process in line with international standards were discussed as well.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to implement a pilot project to introduce a testing system for the International University for the Humanities and Development free of charge. Furthermore, the parties agreed to collaborate on the development of curricula in line with international standards and the professional development of the university's faculty.

The parties expressed confidence that the agreements reached will contribute to the further strengthening of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in education, science, and innovation.
