The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Romania, Annamammet Annayev, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Ms. Oana-Silvia Țoiu, on May 20. This was reported on the official website of the foreign policy agency of our country.
As noted, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Turkmen-Romanian relations and opportunities for their future development. In this regard, mutual interests in further strengthening cooperation in political, trade-economic, transport, and cultural-humanitarian fields, including the education sector, were confirmed.
The interlocutors paid special attention to promoting Turkmenistan's international initiatives and issues of cooperation within the framework of the UN.
The diplomats discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, such as developing cooperation in the transit transport sector, expanding trade-economic relations, developing inter-parliamentary dialogue, and strengthening contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
During the meeting, the importance of further developing cooperation in the cultural-humanitarian sphere, including the education sector, was particularly emphasized.
The parties confirmed their readiness to further strengthen the relations of friendship and cooperation between Turkmenistan and Romania.
