An educational-methodological seminar on Advanced ESP Methodologies Held at Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan

In order to implement the tasks outlined in the "2026 Plan of the Coordinating Council for Language Teaching under the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan," approved by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, an educational-methodological seminar titled "FUTURE READY ESP: NAVIGATING SPECIALIZED LANGUAGE EDUCATION" was held at the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan within the framework of implementing the state strategy for the development of higher professional education. Organized by the university's Department of Foreign Languages for Technical Fields, this seminar is a major step forward in preparing internationally competitive specialists who are well-versed in engineering and technology fields and have achieved full proficiency in foreign languages.

The seminar aimed to transform traditional language teaching methods into modern, career-oriented tools and to define new scientific-methodological directions for teaching professional languages through modern and digital tools—ensuring students master not only general English but also the specialized language skills that enable them to be competitive in the international labor market. During the seminar, modern methods were presented for teaching specialized terminology related to students' fields of study as well as scientific translation. Particular attention was paid to the specific characteristics of teaching professional languages to empower future specialists to conduct professional negotiations, deliver presentations, and carry out scientific research in foreign languages. Participating educators representing higher education institutions across the country noted the strategic significance of these contemporary methods in developing target language skills and highly commended the event.
