Turkmenistan is widely celebrating Turkmen Carpet Day, one of the country's important national holidays dedicated to the unique art of carpet weaving. With a history dating back to ancient times, the Turkmen carpet remains a symbol of national identity, cultural heritage, and the spiritual values of the Turkmen people.
Educational institutions across the country organized thematic events, literary evenings, exhibitions, and excursions to mark the celebration. One of the highlights was the literary event "The Turkmen Carpet Known Throughout the World," jointly held by School No. 26 in Ashgabat and the Mollanepes Public Library branch.
Students also visited the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet in Ashgabat, where they explored rare exhibits and learned about the history of carpet weaving traditions. Special attention was given to literary works dedicated to the art of carpet making, while many students expressed interest in preserving and continuing this important national craft.
