A special scientific-practical conference was organized at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S. A. Niyazov on the occasion of an important international date focused on ecological well-being. Within the framework of the event, the session of the second section of the conference, titled "Ecological Well-being and International Cooperation," was successfully conducted. The participants of the meeting first viewed with great interest the exhibition of scientific projects and the exposition highlighting the work carried out to protect our country's biodiversity, which was organized at the Cultural Center of the higher education institution. During the scientific meeting, several presentations were delivered on crucial topics such as state policy on nature protection, innovative irrigation technologies, the foundations of preserving the gene pool of coniferous plants, and the impacts of the Aral Sea's desiccation on the Central Asian region. In their speeches, scientists and specialists discussed ways to sustainably adapt ecosystems and forestry to contemporary conditions.
The conference participants specifically emphasized the strengthening of the legal foundations of the measures implemented in our country for environmental protection. In this regard, high praise was given to the significance of the "National Forest Program of Turkmenistan for 2026–2030," approved by the Decree of the Head of State, and national strategies aimed at countering climate change. At the end of the event, the participating specialists and students expressed their sincere gratitude for the great state support provided to the fields of ecology and science.
