Representatives of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan Participate in an International Study Visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan

An introductory and exchange visit is being held in the cities of Nukus and Tashkent in the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of the project "European Union for Green Growth of Turkmenistan: Political Dialogue and Climate Change Actions for 2024-2029," funded by the European Union and implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), as well as the regional initiative "Green Central Asia".

The study visit, which will take place from June 8 to June 14, 2026, includes representatives from Turkmenistan, including specialists from the Scientific-Production Center "Renewable Energy Sources" of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, and representatives of international projects. The main goal of the visit is to study international experience in ensuring regional water, energy, and ecological sustainability, and in implementing alternative energy sources and innovative biosystems into production.

Currently, the delegation is in the city of Nukus, Republic of Karakalpakstan, where they met with specialists from the Karakalpakstan branch of the Scientific-Research Institute of Irrigation and Water Problems and the "Academy of Young Scientists". In accordance with the visit's plan, the effectiveness of innovative ecological systems, bioplatforms for natural purification of drainage waters, and solar-powered water pumping stations designed for sustainable irrigation is being studied. Additionally, a detailed acquaintance with the production conditions and laboratory work of cultivating Chlorella microalgae, one of the main directions of biotechnology and bioenergetics, will be carried out at the building of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In the coming days, Turkmen representatives are expected to meet with the management of the International Innovation Center of the Aral Sea region, visit experimental fields for intensive horticulture, and participate in scientific seminars that will continue in the city of Tashkent. Within the scope of these seminars, scientific study will be conducted on reducing soil salinization, water-saving technologies, rapid assessment of soil electrical conductivity, and the practical application of modern agro-photoelectric systems combining agriculture and solar energy at the "Master fruit" farm in the Syrdarya region.

The participation of representatives from Turkmenistan, specifically the researchers from the Scientific-Production Center "Renewable Energy Sources" of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, in this ongoing international program will make a significant contribution to the state policy pursued under the leadership of the Esteemed President on developing alternative energy, the "green economy" and scientific-innovative technologies in the country. This visit will open new horizons in strengthening regional scientific cooperation and ensuring ecological sustainability. Participants of the international conference express their praise and gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for all the opportunities created in the field of science and education.
