Students of Turkmenistan showed high results in the international linguistics competition

Students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan took part in the "Lomonosov–2026" international Universiada, organized by the Lomonosov Moscow State University, and achieved great success. In this prestigious intellectual competition, which was held in the fields of Linguistics, Regional Studies, and Cultural Studies, Turkmen students managed to win a total of 11 prize-winning places in the linguistics category, namely 3 first places and 8 second places. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The first place was awarded to Guncha Musayeva, a student of the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, Yaran Hudayberdiyev, a master's student of the S. A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, and Leyli Romanova, a student of the Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute. The second places were shared by talented students of the D. Azadi TNIWL, Magtymguly Turkmen State University, and Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

The first, qualifying stage of the two-round competition was held in a remote format, where the participants prepared abstracts of scientific research in linguistics. In the final stage, organized in the city of Moscow, the students performed linguistic tasks in foreign languages that required quick and correct solutions. In doing so, the Turkmen youth proved their excellent knowledge of Russian, English, and French, earning high praise from the organizers.

Our country was represented at the international review by 27 students from 5 higher educational institutions. The student team was led by Maysa Atayeva, a teacher at the D. Azadi TNIWL, and Jennet Shamyyeva, a teacher at the Magtymguly TSU. Representatives of Turkmenistan are participating in this international competition for the fourth time already, consistently demonstrating their rich experience and high level of education.

The traditional "Lomonosov" Universiada is organized with the aim of identifying young talents from different parts of the world, developing the creative and professional abilities of students. This event is of great importance for further strengthening scientific and educational relations between the leading universities of Russia, the CIS, and other foreign countries.
