A President of Turkmenistan approved the Programme for the Protection of Maternal and Child Health until 2030

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Mammedov on June 20 reported at a government meeting on the ongoing work to improve the national healthcare system and build a healthy society. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

As was reported, drafts of the "National Programme for the Protection of Maternal and Child Health in Turkmenistan for 2026–2030 'Healthy Mother – Healthy Child – Healthy Future'" and the Action Plan for its implementation have been prepared to ensure the protection of the health of mothers and children, the prevention of various diseases, and the further improvement of the quality of medical services. The main goal and objectives of the National Programme are the prevention of diseases among mothers and children and the improvement of their health.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a draft of the corresponding Decree for consideration by the head of state.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that effective work is being carried out in the country to protect the health of mothers and children. Having signed the document prepared with the aim of further improving the health of mothers and children, the head of state addressed a number of instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister in this regard.
