Ambassador of Turkmenistan held a working meeting with Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Islamabad, Atajan Movlamov, held a working meeting with Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Niaz Ahmad Akhtar. The main topic of the engaging dialogue was a detailed discussion of the strategic prospects for strengthening the long-term partnership between the two countries in higher education, fundamental science, and large-scale academic exchange.

During the conversation, the parties emphasized the significant potential for further expanding bilateral ties across a wide range of sectors, particularly noting the growing importance of cooperation in scientific research, the development of advanced human resources, and academic mobility.

The interlocutors focused on creating practical opportunities for establishing direct partnerships between leading higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and Pakistan. Specifically, they discussed facilitating regular exchanges of students, faculty, and young scientists, as well as comprehensive support for joint educational, technological, and research initiatives.

Following the meeting, Atajan Movlamov and Niaz Ahmad Akhtar reaffirmed their mutual commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and promoting mutually beneficial projects aimed at closely linking the scientific, educational, and cultural spaces of the two countries. This meeting highlights another important aspect of our relations with Pakistan—the humanitarian and educational one. Against the backdrop of major energy projects such as TAPI, human capital development and academic exchange are of paramount importance.
