Turkmenistan and the PRC strengthen partnership in training specialists for the Oil and Gas Industry

On June 22, 2026, the China University of Petroleum in Beijing hosted the opening of advanced training courses for the faculty of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. The event was organized at the joint Turkmen-Chinese Energy Training Center, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the People's Republic of China, the leadership and faculty of the China University of Petroleum, as well as a delegation from the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University.

During the working discussions, the sides reviewed current issues regarding further enhancement of the quality of specialized education, expanding the exchange of experience between the leading oil and gas universities of the two countries, and developing joint educational projects.

Following the conclusion of the official part of the event, a meeting was held between representatives of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University delegation, Turkmen diplomats, and students of the China University of Petroleum.

During the meeting, a representative of the Embassy of Turkmenistan informed the students about the key directions of the country's foreign policy course and emphasized the significance of the motto of the year 2026: "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses".
