EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL CHILDREN

In the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, under the leadership of our Esteemed President, Hero Arkadagly Serdar, innovative reforms in the education system of our country are being successfully implemented. Ensuring that the younger generation receives a modern education, takes a worthy place in society, and has equal opportunities is one of the key priorities of state policy.

Recently, the textbook “Fundamentals of Informatics” (authors: L.Ruliyeva, J.Annamyradova, O.Mämmetgulyyeva, H.Bayramova, V.Chernikova, and S.Volkova) was published for the first time by the Turkmen State Publishing Service for first-grade students of the departments for blind and visually impaired school-age children within the Rehabilitation Educational Complexes of Turkmenistan. Experienced teachers from the department for blind and visually impaired children of the Rehabilitation Educational Complex in Ashgabat also actively participated in this important work.

The textbook was developed taking into account the visual perception characteristics of children. It features large-print text, high-contrast design elements, special tactile components, and adapted illustrations, creating broad opportunities for students to effectively develop reading, writing, and numeracy skills. In addition, specialists in adaptive pedagogy, designers, and experts in information accessibility closely collaborated in the preparation of the textbook.
