A Round Table on the Historical Significance of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Was Held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University

On July 23, 2026, a political discussion dedicated to the historical significance of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, the achievements gained by our country during the years of independence, as well as the successes achieved in the fuel and energy sector of our Motherland, was recorded at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University.
Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and mass media, specialists of the oil and gas complex, as well as lecturers of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University took part in the event.
In their speeches, the participants noted that the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, being the highest representative body in the socio-political life of the country, serves as a platform where fundamental decisions of national importance are adopted. It was also emphasized that the fuel and energy complex is the “golden pillar” of Turkmenistan’s economy.
As is known, 2026 has been declared the year of “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan — the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.” This year, as traditionally happens every year, the regular meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan is planned to be held on September 23, on the eve of the glorious 35th anniversary of the sacred Independence of our country. The entire nation is actively and unanimously participating in the preparatory activities aimed at holding this significant celebration and nationwide meeting at a high organizational level.
The decisions adopted by the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan not only strengthen the economic foundation of the fuel and energy sector but also contribute to further enhancing the authority of our country in the international arena, strengthening energy sustainability, and advancing national prosperity. The introduction of world-class innovations into the sector and an energy policy based on national interests create a solid foundation for future generations.
