On August 1, during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Dear President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Mammedov provided a detailed report to the Head of State on the results achieved in education, science, healthcare, and sports over the first seven months of 2026. This was reported by the electronic newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden Age».
During the reporting period, advanced teaching methods were widely utilized in the education sector, and school pupils along with university students achieved significant success in international competitions. During the summer vacation season, well-organized recreation was provided for children at centers in Gokdere, the provinces, and Avaza. Additionally, entrance examinations for admission to higher and secondary vocational institutions commenced. In science, a UNESCO Chair titled "Digital Science" was established at the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences, alongside hosting several international conferences.
In healthcare, new preventive and treatment methods were integrated into clinical practice. Operations and medical care were provided to sick children funded by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship. Specialized services were delivered to both local citizens and foreign nationals across health resorts equipped with innovative medical technology.
Through effective initiatives in physical culture and sports, Turkmen athletes showcased stellar performances at international competitions, securing a total of 471 medals.
Having heard the report, the Head of State emphasized the importance of elevating educational quality and refining the science and healthcare systems. The Dear President instructed the Vice-Chairman to pay special attention to promoting mass physical education, sports, and training elite athletes.
