NEW TEXTBOOK PUBLISHED FOR HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

In Turkmenistan, guided by the wise saying “The health of the people is the wealth of the state,” human health is regarded as one of the country's most important national priorities. In the era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, particular importance is attached to preparing highly qualified, competent, and professionally skilled physicians capable of safeguarding the health of the population. The training of such specialists remains one of the important responsibilities of the academic staff of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

A new textbook entitled “Andrology” has recently been published for the country's higher medical education institutions. The textbook was authored by M.Charyyev and published in Ashgabat by the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan in 2026.

The textbook has been prepared in accordance with the curriculum for the subject of Andrology at higher medical education institutions. It covers the general principles of andrology, including the anatomy and physiology of the male reproductive system, symptoms of andrological diseases, diagnostic methods, and specialised examinations. It also provides information on common andrological diseases, including their causes, pathogenesis, clinical course, diagnosis, and treatment.

The textbook “Andrology” is intended for students of the Myrat Garryyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan. At the same time, it can serve as a reliable reference resource for physicians working in various fields of the healthcare system.
