The high standing of Turkmenistan in the world of sports clearly demonstrates the special attention given to this field under the leadership of the Esteemed President. Today, Turkmenistan is recognized as a country with a well-developed sports system, capable of successfully competing in international sporting events and achieving prize-winning results.
The Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University carries out effective work to widely engage young people in physical education and sports, as well as to promote the principles of a healthy lifestyle.
From September 2 to 6, 2026, the World Nomad Games, held once every two years, took place in the city of Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyz Republic. Athletes from 36 countries around the world participated in this prestigious competition. Begli Khojammammedov, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Energy and Engineering Facilities at the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University, performed successfully in the competition and won an honorable third place.
This achievement clearly demonstrates the successful implementation of the objectives set in our country aimed at further developing sports and reaching new heights.
