On September 9, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan Ahmed Alhay Hamad Khamis Al Hameli delivered a lecture at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University. The lecture focused on the achievements of the UAE in the agricultural sector, efforts to ensure food security, as well as opportunities for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates in this field. This was reported on the official website of the higher education institution.
During the meeting, detailed information was provided on the UAE’s experience in applying modern technologies in agriculture, efficient use of resources and ensuring food security. It was emphasized that such events are important for exchanging knowledge and experience, as well as identifying new areas of cooperation in the agricultural sector.
The lecture also covered cooperation between the State Association of Livestock and Poultry Industry of Turkmenistan and the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) of the UAE within the framework of the project “Improving feed production systems and implementing effective measures to restore degraded rangelands.”
Professors, teachers and students of the university, representatives of the UAE Embassy and the country’s agricultural sector took part in the event. Prior to the meeting, the guests visited an exhibition of scientific and project works, agricultural, food and textile products organized at the university.
Agriculture and education are among the important areas in the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates. In recent years, cooperation between the two countries has been consistently developing in various fields.
