International scientific and practical conferences to be held in digital format in Turkmenistan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in a digital format on September 11. During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Mammedov reported on preparations for holding international scientific and practical conferences at several higher educational institutions of the country in October this year. The electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reported this.

It was noted that systematic efforts are being carried out to modernize the national education system, develop the creative and intellectual potential of young people, and train highly qualified specialists. The organization of international Olympiads, forums, exhibitions and scientific and practical conferences contributes to enriching experience and further developing the education sector.

In October 2026, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction is expected to host an international scientific and practical conference titled “The Role of Innovative Technologies in the Construction and Industrial Complex”, while the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan will host the conference “National Artificial Intelligence Technologies: Digital Economy, Smart Diversification, Sustainable Development”.

Students, professors, teachers and scientists from higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of renowned foreign universities and major international organizations, are expected to participate in these events, which will be held in a digital format.

The conferences will focus on studying international experience in such areas as the development of “green”, safe and “smart” cities, production of innovative construction materials, automation of production processes, introduction of robotic technologies, digitalization of the economy and the use of artificial intelligence technologies.

After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the ongoing work to train highly educated specialists and strengthen international cooperation in science and education. The Head of State approved the proposal to hold international scientific and practical conferences in a digital format and instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers to continue the relevant work.
