Cooperation with the PETRONAS University of Technology in Malaysia is being developed

Effective cooperation in the field of science and education has been continuing for several years between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev InternationalOil and Gas University, PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd and the PETRONAS University of Technology. In order to develop and expand international cooperation, a new Memorandum of Understanding was recently signed between the partner company and the two higher educational institutions, according to which the term of mutual cooperation was extended for another five years.
At the PETRONAS Technology University in Malaysia, students and young lecturers from our university undertake summer academic and industrial internships every year, continuously enhancing their professional qualifications.The academic staff of PETRONAS Technology University organizes general training sessions on various topics for students and young lecturers from our university. From September 14 to 17, a professor from the Technology University is conducting online classes for students and young lecturers of the Faculty of Oil and Gas on the topic “Advanced Analysis and Design of Offshore Structures.” The sessions provide valuable and interesting information on modern innovative technologies and new methods currently being applied in the industry. Participants in the sessions will be awarded special certificates from PETRONAS Technology University in Malaysia. As part of the Memorandum of Cooperation that has been signed, a number of professors from the Technology University are scheduled to conduct training sessions throughout the 2026–2027 academic year, both online and through in-person visits to our university. The sessions will cover topics related to the oil and gas industry, the implementation of artificial intelligence, chemistry, and processing. Students and young lecturers will gain knowledge about modern innovative technologies used in these fields, as well as methods for their implementation.
