Friendly Relations and Promising Initiatives: Ambassador of Malaysia to Turkmenistan Paid an Official Visit to the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

On September 8, 2026, a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Turkmenistan, Mr. Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin, paid an official visit to the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. This official meeting was attended by the Rector of the University, H. Kadyrov, vice-rectors, relevant heads of departments, and faculty members.

The purpose of this working visit was to identify areas of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and to discuss ongoing activities in this field. At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector of the University, H. Kadyrov, briefed the guests in detail on the achievements of the university over a short period, its high milestones, its inclusion in international rankings, and the opening of new specialties such as "Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems" and "Mechatronics and Robotics," aimed at keeping pace with science and meeting contemporary demands. Furthermore, the Rector noted with great pride that in the 2026–2027 academic year, the university's entrance examinations were among the first in the education system to be successfully conducted in a testing format, emphasizing that high results were achieved in this regard.

Mr. Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin expressed his gratitude to the university leadership for taking the time to receive them, introduced the members of his delegation, and specifically emphasized that the scope of multifaceted cooperation between Malaysia and Turkmenistan is expanding further. Subsequently, the Ambassador announced the high interest of several higher education institutions in Malaysia in establishing international cooperation with the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. In particular, he mentioned that representatives of the CRUX Institute, a private higher education institution in Malaysia, had approached the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Malaysia and submitted a draft Memorandum of Understanding to establish bilateral international educational cooperation with the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, following which he handed the draft over to the head of the university.

In addition, it was stated that 8 higher education institutions in Malaysia—including the German-Malaysian Institute, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), and Management and Science University (MSU)—are ready to establish cooperation with the higher education institutions of Turkmenistan, particularly with the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, in the following areas:

  • Developing entrepreneurship, business, and the industrial sector, as well as strengthening bilateral scientific and educational ties;
  • Jointly developing curricula and establishing mutual exchange programs for faculty and students;
  • Sending Turkmen youth for Master's, Postgraduate, and Doctoral studies, as well as jointly conducting scientific research, conferences, and project competitions;
  • Exchanging experience in fields such as quality management, professional certification, leadership, and professional development courses.

Following this, Mr. Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin invited the university leadership to visit Malaysia and suggested that, within the framework of the visit, these matters be discussed in detail with the heads of Malaysian higher education institutions and a roadmap for cooperation be drawn up. Emphasizing that Malaysia possesses vast experience in these matters, the Ambassador expressed his confidence that the cooperation with the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs would become a leading and prominent example of bilateral relations between Malaysia and Turkmenistan in the fields of education and industry. Additionally, the Ambassador noted his conviction that providing assistance to the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and creating a network between the CRUX Institute, other higher education institutions, and Turkmenistan would make a major contribution to the industrial and economic development of Turkmenistan.

Rector H. Kadyrov noted that this news brings great pride and holds significant importance, stating that the university is ready for all forms of cooperation, and requested the Ambassador to send an official letter through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in this regard. The Rector then mentioned that the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will participate with its own pavilion in the exhibition to be held on the occasion of the glorious 35th anniversary of the sacred Independence of Turkmenistan. He also stated that the university plans to host an international scientific-practical conference in March 2027 to mark the 19th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and requested the Ambassador's assistance in ensuring the participation of representatives from Malaysian higher education institutions in this conference, either online or by visiting Turkmenistan.

The Rector of the university pointed out that in the new academic year, first-year students successfully completed their studies at the Language Learning Department and began taking courses related to their professional fields. He also announced that the university laboratories have been put into operation and highlighted the need for experienced professors and researchers from Malaysia to carry out scientific work in these laboratories.

Mr. Mohd Suhaimi Bin Ahmad Tajuddin noted that the founder of the private higher education institution in Malaysia—specifically the CRUX Institute—is a highly qualified and experienced professor, and stated his readiness to share his expertise in entrepreneurship, business, and technology transfer at the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

Mrs. Yazmalina Binti Yaakob, for her part, stated that 6 to 7 higher education institutions from Malaysia are expected to participate in the international exhibition "Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State," which will take place on October 10–12, 2026. She noted that this would be a favorable opportunity to establish mutual cooperation and get acquainted with the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Rector of the university, H. Kadyrov, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the guests for finding the time to visit the university and, in a solemn atmosphere, presented them with the book by our Hero-Arkadag titled "The Horse: Both Loyalty and Joy" ("Atda wepa-da bar, sapa-da"), as well as a Turkmen national handmade carpet as gifts.
