President of Turkmenistan discusses preparations for healthcare-related events

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held in digital format on September 18, heard a report by Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Mammedov on preparations for events dedicated to the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers of Turkmenistan. The electronic newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reported on this.

The Deputy Prime Minister informed the Head of State about organisational preparations for events marking the professional holiday. It was noted that within the framework of the State Health Programme “Saglyk”, developed by Hero-Arkadag and successfully implemented under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the commissioning of several important facilities is planned.

These include the new additional buildings complex of the “Archman” health resort in Baherden etrap of Ahal velayat, the International Oncology Scientific and Clinical Centre, the International Paediatric Centre and the Dental Centre in Ashgabat.

In addition, an international exhibition and scientific conference titled “Healthcare, Education and Sport in the Era of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State” is planned to be held to showcase achievements in the healthcare sector, along with other related events.

After hearing the report, the Honourable President emphasised the importance of ongoing efforts to develop the healthcare system, strengthen its material and technical base and improve the quality of medical services in the country. The Head of State instructed to ensure thorough preparations for the international exhibition and scientific conference, as well as to organise the opening ceremonies of new healthcare facilities at a high level.
