A reception was held in Turkmenistan in honor of the Independence Day of Tajikistan

An official reception was held in Ashgabat on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event, organized by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan, was held at the "Yyldyz" hotel.

Ambassador of Tajikistan Vafo Niyatbekzoda in his speech emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral Turkmen-Tajik relations, emphasizing significant progress in the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The reception was attended by high-ranking officials, including Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdayev, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations, as well as business circles and the media.

Ambassador Niyatbekzoda in his speech noted the achievements of Tajikistan over 33 years of independence, including economic development, improvement of the social sphere and infrastructure. He also highlighted the country's successes on the international stage, in particular, initiatives to protect glaciers and the proclamation of World Football Day.

Particular attention in the speech was paid to the development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. The Ambassador noted regular high-level meetings, the expansion of the legal framework and the successful implementation of joint projects, such as the opening of a school named after Magtymguly Fragi in Tajikistan.

In conclusion, the Ambassador expressed confidence in the further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing that this meets the interests of the peoples of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
