Participation of the students from Turkmenistan in the 54th international physics Olympiad ipho-2024

We are glad to inform that the group of the talented students from Turkmenistan got a unique opportunity to represent our country at the 54th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO-2024), which will be held from July 21 to July 29, 2024 in the city of Isfahan, Islamic Republic of Iran. 

The delegation included both the high school pupils and representatives of the higher educational establishments who showed outstanding abilities in the field of physics. The team was selected based on the results of the national qualifying round and includes the following participants: 

1.   Amanmedov Allamyrat Geldimyradovich – a teacher-researcher of the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the team leader. 

2.   Nuriyev Jumadurdy Mansurovich – a pupil of the 12th Form of Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi specialized comprehensive boarding school in Ashgabat.

3.   Janmyradov Mekangeldi Dowletmyradovich – a pupil of the 12th Form of the specialized secondary school #97 with in-depth study of languages in Ashgabat.

4.   Annagurdov Nurgeldi Annagurdovich – a pupil of the 11th Form of the specialized secondary school #79 with in-depth study of exact sciences in Ashgabat.  

5.   Velyanova Aynabat Muhammetsaparovna – a pupil of the 12th Form of Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi specialized comprehensive boarding school in Ashgabat.

Continuing the theme of supporting the young talents in the field of physics, it should be noted that the Turkmen team has achieved considerable successes on the international arena. At recently held International Scientific Physics Olympiad ISPhO-2024, which was held in Khanty-Mansiysk under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the same team demonstrated the outstanding results, winning several prizes. This was a real breakthrough and confirmation of the high level of training of our students. 

Successes in Khanty-Mansiysk became a remarkable incentive to further participation in the prestigious international competitions. In particular, after returning from Russia, the team began intensive preparations for the 54th International Physics Olympiad IPhO-2024, which is held in the city of Isfahan, Islamic Republic of Iran. Preparation includes a series of training sessions and specialized lectures conducted in Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology that should help the participants to improve their theoretical knowledge and practical skills. 

Preparation for the Olympiad covered a series of training sessions and seminars that will help the participants to deeper study the topics of the Olympiad and improve their experimental and theoretical skills. 

Invaluable contribution of the Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the activation of the participation of the youth from Turkmenistan in the international Olympiads emphasizes their importance in the development of the educational and scientific spheres of the country. It is especially important because such events provide the young people with a chance to improve their abilities, share knowledge and draw inspiration from their peers from the different countries. These initiatives are becoming a key element in training of the future leaders and innovators of the nation. We can see how support and attention to the development of the young scientists on the state level allow our students to show their abilities and achieve high results on the international arena. Participation in such Olympiads not only contributes to the scientific growth of the students, but it is also an important step in their professional life, opening up to them new opportunities for researches and international cooperation. 

Support for youth in the field of science and education remains a priority for the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and we encourage all participants to take an active part in such international competitions. This not only contributes to the development of the personal skills of the pupils, but it also promotes science in Turkmenistan to a new level. We are confident that our team will show its best abilities and worthily represent Turkmenistan at this prestigious international event.
