At the II International Olympiad in Informatics, which was held in Ashgabat from April 15 to 19, students from Turkmenistan achieved impressive results, winning 43 medals, including 10 gold medals.
The Russian team took the second place with 17 awards, while students from the People's Republic of China took the third place with 10 awards. This is reported by the edition vestiabad with reference to MIR 24.
Students from 18 countries took part in this Olympiad, which was organized at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldy Kakaev.
The competition was held in two stages. In the first stage, the participants solved programming problems, and in the second stage they developed complex software in the field of cyber security.
An excursion to Nisu, which is famous for its archaeological sites and rich historical heritage, was organized for the participants of the Olympiad.
