International cooperation in education

On the basis of the instructions of our Esteemed President, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University conducts close cooperation with prestigious universities, international organizations and companies of foreign countries. For several years, within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, extensive cooperation has continued between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University and PETRONAS Çarigali (Türkmenistan) Sdn Bhd, as well as the PETRONAS Technological University in the field of science and education. Professors and teachers from Universiti Teknologi Petronas Malaysia regularly conduct courses on advanced technologies and equipment used in the oil and gas industry for students and young teachers of the university.

  In order to study the experience of foreign companies, in June-July of this year, university students completed a summer internship at the production facilities of the company PETRONAS Çarigali (Türkmenistan) Sdn Bhd.

  As part of the concluded Memorandum, from August 19 to 30, 2024, 2 weeks of production practice for 5 university students and from August 19 to 23, 2024, 1-One week professional development courses for 3 teachers are held at the Petronas University of Technology in Malaysia.

  Teachers from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University have met with professors, teachers and specialists from the Petronas University of Technology, Malaysia. Teachers are also deployed to familiarize with the processes of organizing educational and methodological work, developing curricula and programs, their implementation, conducting research work, research laboratories and attracting students to scientific-research activities, as well as the introduction of digital technologies into the education system in the university.

  During the visit, PETRONAS company plans to visit production facilities and departments of PETRONAS in order to familiarize teachers and students of our university with modern technologies used in the oil and gas industry and the digitization of oil and gas production.

  Students are greatly impressed by the work experience at Universiti Teknologi Petronas in Malaysia. Production experience is important in multiplying the knowledge gained by students in theory through practice abroad.
