Youth Robotics Competition Held in Turkmenistan

On December 7-8, 2024, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan organized a Youth Robotics Competition at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University. The event brought together over 200 talented school students, university and college students, attendees of private educational institutions, and young professionals from Arkadag City, Ashgabat, and all regions of the country.

The competition featured four robotics categories: Sumo Robot, Maze, Line Follower Robot, and Team Project. Additionally, an exhibition was organized showcasing the work of educational institutions and centers specializing in robotics and programming. The performance of the ANYmaIX robot captivated the interest of the participants.

During the opening ceremony, representatives from the Ministry of Education, the International Oil and Gas University, and "Petronas Carigali Turkmenistan" delivered speeches. They expressed their gratitude on behalf of all participants to the National Leader and the esteemed President for the advancements in the education system and the opportunities created for young people to receive modern education. Furthermore, musical performances by students from the university and the Maya Kulyyeva Turkmen National Conservatory added a festive spirit to the event.

The competition results were displayed live on large screens, allowing participants and guests to closely observe and evaluate the performances. All participants received certificates from the university, while the winners were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes by the Ministry of Education. The active participation of students from remote districts demonstrated the widespread interest in robotics across the country.
