CEREMONY HONORING EDUCATION WORKERS

This ceremony was dedicated to honoring the country’s education workers during the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State. The event was held in celebration of the International Neutrality Day and aimed to acknowledge the significant contributions of our esteemed President, Hero Arkadag Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in implementing educational reforms and fostering educated and patriotic generations. It also recognized achievements in organizing modern educational processes based on contemporary scientific theories and data. The results of the national competition for the titles of “Best Kindergarten in Blooming Greenery” and “Best School in Blooming Greenery” were also announced.

Under the wise leadership of esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and thanks to the efforts of Hero Arkadag, the country’s policy of afforestation and environmental protection is successfully continuing. Educators play a critical role in shaping the younger generation. Leaders of educational institutions, teachers, and methodologists actively participate in these significant state initiatives.

The purpose of the competition is to implement the esteemed President’s policy of transforming the country into a green oasis, to meet the advanced demands of the modern era, to engage the younger generation actively in environmental protection efforts, to instill patriotism and a caring attitude toward nature, to foster enthusiasm for participating in environmental conservation activities, and to cultivate ecological awareness and culture. Additionally, the competition aims to implement the state policy of greening all regions of the country, to involve the youth in significant environmental initiatives, to nurture love for the surrounding beauty in children, to enhance ecological culture among the younger generation, to identify exemplary educational institutions in this regard, and to disseminate their successful practices.

In Turkmenistan, greening the surroundings of educational institutions, creating a clean ecological environment, using natural resources efficiently, and ensuring that every educator and student has the necessary conditions to study and work in a healthy and environmentally friendly setting are among the primary priorities of state policy. In line with the objectives outlined in the National Forest Program of Turkmenistan for 2021–2025 and the National Strategy of Turkmenistan on Climate Change (Revised Version), comprehensive programmatic measures have been undertaken, resulting in the surroundings of various educational institutions across the country being covered with dense greenery. As emphasized by our esteemed Hero-Arkadag, planting trees is a vital part of ecological education. The proverb “Whoever plants a tree leaves a legacy; their name is inscribed in the book of the world” affirms this idea. “The impact of trees on our bodies and well-being is immense. This influence is both material and spiritual. Some trees bestow upon us profound and almost magical power. To say this is no exaggeration. Seeing a tree brings a sense of joy, akin to meeting someone dear. Their expansiveness and radiance enrich our inner world in countless ways. We feel their benefits throughout all seasons. In spring, trees dressed in green amplify our love for life. In the heat of summer, the shade and lush leaves of trees offer incomparable comfort. In autumn, their golden foliage, and in winter, their snow-covered branches, allow us to experience the true beauty of nature,” remarked our esteemed Hero-Arkadag. These inspiring words also serve as a guide for greening the surroundings of educational institutions.

Planting trees and creating flower gardens in schools and kindergartens positively impacts students’ ecological education and enhances the beauty of nature. Currently, under the guidance of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, numerous initiatives are being implemented to ensure ecological well-being and to green the surroundings of schools and kindergartens. One such initiative includes the competitions titled “The Best Kindergarten Adorned with Greenery and Flowers” and “The Best School Adorned with Greenery and Flowers.” On December 9, a ceremony was held in the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan’s assembly hall to honor the winners of these competitions, along with distinguished educators and experienced teachers. These individuals were recognized for their creative contributions to education, for organizing educational processes in accordance with modern standards, for enriching educational content, and for improving its quality.

The Grand Prize of the competition “The Best School Adorned with Greenery and Flowers” was awarded to Secondary School No. 11 in the Magtymguly district of Balkan Province. First place went to Secondary School No. 2 in the Charjev district of Lebap Province, second place to Specialized School No. 4 in the city of Arkadag specializing in English, and third place to Specialized School No. 84 in the city of Ashgabat specializing in foreign languages.

The Grand Prize of the competition “The Best Kindergarten Adorned with Greenery and Flowers” was awarded to Kindergarten No. 21 in the city of Mary, specializing in foreign languages. First place went to Kindergarten No. 5 in the Charjev district of Lebap Province, second place to Kindergarten No. 9 in the city of Arkadag, and third place to Kindergarten No. 11 in the city of Türkmenbaşy in Balkan Province.

One of the strategic directions of Arkadagly Gahryman Serdar’s domestic and foreign policy is providing the younger generation with modern education and upbringing. The esteemed President is making tireless efforts to ensure the youth grow up physically and spiritually healthy, well-rounded, industrious, and loyal to their beloved homeland. The outcomes of the competitions “The Best Kindergarten Adorned with Greenery and Flowers” and “The Best School Adorned with Greenery and Flowers,” as well as the achievements of educators in honor of the 29th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, demonstrate the state’s great care for educational workers. At the ceremony honoring educators, winners of the competitions, and distinguished professionals, certificates of appreciation from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, commemorative gifts from the Union of Scientists and Educators, and souvenirs from the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan were presented. This once again highlights the significant attention given to the hard work of educational professionals during the “Year of the Wisdom and Legacy of Magtymguly Pyragy.” The directors of the winning kindergartens and schools, as well as the honored teachers who excel in their work, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Gahryman Serdar for the excellent conditions created for living and working.
