Turkmenistan and Turkey discuss development of relations in energy and transport spheres

On 26 July 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Turkey Mekan Ishanguliyev met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ayşe Berris Ekıncı.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Special attention was paid to the planned visits and meetings at the highest and high levels this year.
Issues of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation in the fuel and energy sector were thoroughly discussed. At the same time, the sides discussed ways to increase the volume of trade and economic partnership, implementation of promising joint projects in the spheres of energy and transport.
In addition, the sides discussed issues of holding joint events on the occasion of celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great classic of Oriental literature Makhtumkuli Fragi.
