The Grand Prix of the International Competition was won by the song «Baky diri esgerler»

The song by composer Ayna Shirova and poet Hemra Shirov «Baky diri esgerler» won the Grand Prix at the prestigious David Krivitskiy International Competition of Composers, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Union of Composers of Russia. 

The song «Baky diri esgerler» is performed in Turkmen and Russian. It became the winning song of the flash mob launched in April 2024. This song flash mob was dedicated to Victory Day. During the month, the song was performed in different countries by professional and amateur musicians. The David Krivitsky International Competition of Composers brings together talented musicians from all over the world. Turkmenistan took part in it for the first time.

The name of the composer David Krivitskiy is known not only in Russia, but also far beyond its borders. Fans of animation remember him as the author of the soundtracks for the cartoons «The Adventures of Baron Munchausen» and «Muk-skorokhod». David Krivitskiy is best known for his works on military themes. The opera-oratorio «Babiy Yar» is one of the most frequent stage productions of the composer, which exists in various versions and formats. Thanks to his rich creative heritage, his name is included in the Guinness Book of Records. 

In Ashgabat, the premiere of the song by Ayna and Hemra Shirovs «Baky diri esgerler» took place in May 2024 during the concert «Masterpieces of Classics» dedicated to Victory Day. The first vocalist to perform this song was the laureate of the «Türkmenistanyň Altyn asyry» Prize Bahar Durdyyeva. The instrumental version of this song was performed by the Tahyr Atayev Orchestra.
