Construction of new campus of Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi nears completion in Turkmenabat

Construction of the new campus of the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi has entered its final stage in Turkmenabat, the administrative center of Lebap velayat. The works are being carried out pursuant to a relevant decree of the President of Turkmenistan.

The general contractor is Nahal LLC, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The facility is scheduled for commissioning in September 2026. Main construction works on the approximately 26-hectare site have already been completed, with interior finishing currently underway.

The new complex comprises an administrative and academic building housing two faculties and halls with seating for 700 and 200, two academic buildings for four faculties, a 12-apartment residential building for teaching staff, five dormitories accommodating 2,000 students, a canteen for 1,000, a library with 700 seats and a collection of one million volumes, a 500-seat stadium, a gymnasium, three sports courts, and both open-air and covered parking for 200 vehicles each. The main building will feature a museum with sections dedicated to the history of Turkmenistan, including the Independence period, as well as archaeology, ethnography, flora and fauna.

Domestically produced materials are being used throughout construction and finishing works. Modern equipment from developed countries is set to be installed in the buildings in the near future.

The new campus is located along one of Turkmenabat's key urban development corridors, adjacent to the "Türkmeniň ak öýi" building, the "Lebap" shopping and entertainment center, a multifunctional sports complex, a Palace of Culture, and a Wedding Palace.

The Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi is one of the country's leading pedagogical universities. It currently operates faculties of exact and natural sciences, history, pedagogy, Turkmen language and literature, Russian and Eastern languages, and Romance-Germanic languages, as well as a professional development faculty and a student sports club.
