Turkmenistan and EU discuss implementation of joint projects in education

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Belgium Sapar Palvanov met with Normunds Popens, Deputy Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC). The parties discussed prospects for deepening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union in the fields of education, youth policy, and cultural engagement.

The Turkmen side expressed interest in European approaches to education quality assurance, academic mobility, the credit-modular system, digitalization of the educational process, and university management models.

The parties also discussed expanding the participation of Turkmen universities and youth organizations in European programs, including academic exchanges and joint projects in the areas of high technology, digital transformation, and the green economy.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in the institutional development of cooperation and their readiness to continue a systematic dialogue aimed at implementing concrete joint initiatives.
